  18. What comm software are you using?  With an internal modem, the 16550 UART is on
  19. the card, so that's not the problem.  What speed of computer do you have?  With
  20. my 486dx2-66 and my internal Sportster 28.8, I can lock it at 115.2 or 57.6 and
  21. have no problems whatsoever.  Sounds like you have a bum modem if the above
  22. doesn't help.
